Rappahannock County were named to the Special Hopor Roll for Scholastic Excellence at Randolph-Macon Academy following the completion of the first trimester grading period.
Misty Hitt of Woodville and a group of friends were sleigh riding last weekend when they discovered a snake laying in the snow nearby. They excitedly summoned Mr. Corker, father of one of the youngsters, who could hardly believe the three and a half foot snake, was real.
Conjecture is that the reptile crawled out of a groundhog hole and froze to death. Tracks in the snow toward a hole nearby substantiated the theory.
