Earl Hawkins

Engineering foreman

Earl Clifton Hawkins. 88. formerly of Front Royal, died Wednesday. Jan. 2 at Whispering Pines Nursing Home in Luray.

Funeral services were conducted on Saturday. Jan. 5 at Maddox Funeral Home in Front Royal bv the Rev. Gary Heaton. Burial was in Prospect Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Hawkins was born June 19. 1913 in Rappahannock County, son of the late Milton M. and Stella Nicholson Hawkins.

He was an engineering foreman at Avtex for 40 years and a member of Front Royal United Methodist Church. He was the husband of the late Kathleen D. Hawkins.

Surviving are three sons, Earl Hawkins of Marshall. Richard Hawkins and Donald Hawkins, both of Front Royal: three sisters. Bessie Brown of Front Royal, Ada Turner of Roanoke and Elsie Bosworth of Silver Spring, Md.; two grandchildren; a great-grandchild and a number of nieces and nephews.
