Director’s report
In addition to his budget comments. Director Shaffer reflected upon President Nichols’ report that longtime volunteer Frances Thornton was gravely ill. Mr. Shaffer noted that Mrs. Thornton’s illness “was a real blow.” He recalled that she had volunteered for a
tied “Acid Rain,” and freshmen, Eston Davis’ project entitled “Can We Change the Cholesterol Content of Eggs?”
All division and honorable mention winners can enter the Piedmont Regional Science Fair in Charlottesville on March 14. Rappahannock County Schools will be well represented.
Many individuals including parents, teachers, administrators and community volunteers support the students as they do their work. Jan Makela and many volunteers work diligently to set up the Multipurpose Room or the science fair.
