Amissville died Sunday, Jan. 20 at Fauquier Hospital in Warrenton.
He was bom Aug. 31, 1917. He was a deacon at Bethel Baptist Church.
Mr. King was well known for softball teams that he organized both in Rappahannock and Culpeper.
He is survived by his wife, Lucille King of Amissville and a sister, Mary Wood of Falls Church.
Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, Jan. 26 at Bethel Baptist Church in Amissville by the Rev. Forrest Freeman. Burial was in the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Amissville.
Joynes Funeral Home in Warrenton was in charge of the arrangements.
