fund raising event of the Rappahannock County Chapter of the American Cancer Society. The Relay will take place at the Rappahannock County Elementary School on May 1718. Teams of 10 to 15 people will set up campsites and take turns moving around a track during this overnight event, which is both a celebration of life and a community party. The event is more than a fundraiser.
Cancer education takes place. Survivors walk the first lap, symbolizing the progress we have made. Evening luminary ceremonies memorialize those special people who have lost their battles with disease. Actual fund raising takes place before the event as Relay teams' members solicit sponsors
