Mrs. Gloria Switzer hosted a brunch on Friday for a few family members and friends. Those attending were Joyce Wilson, Janet Hitt, Julie Hodds and daughter, Leigh of Viewtown, Peggy Stringfellow, and Janice Cooke of Amissville, Barbara Coffey, June Compton and Carol Smith of Castleton, Marge Montague of Washington, Nancy Compton of Culpeper, Susie Coffey of Boston, Jody Bawkey of Rixeyville and Michelle Switzer of Greenbelt, Md. The day was filled with fun and fellowship for all that attended. Sherlean Wayland, Glenn and Kim August and family were home for a short visit from Germany. Gene Dodson celebrated his birthday with family at his home. Happy birthday to Devyn and Dalton Hitt and Dove Chapman. Ms. Helen Edwards was a Monday guest of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Acrey Dodson. Also visiting were Mrs. Jennifer Dove and Angel. Billy R. Dodson celebrated his birthday on Sunday, Jan. 20. Sympathy goes out to the Settle family on the passing of William (Billy) Settle of Rixeyville last week. Prayers are extended for William Compton, who is in.
