Following the loss of a loved one, the grief-stricken might welcome a road map to get them through their grief. While none really exists, there are certain paths that can be followed to help facilitate the journey. Grief does not proceed in a straight line and may, in fact, progress in a circular fashion. Fortunately, when grief does return, it will find us stronger. While some say the passage of time is the great emotional healer, it is making good use of the time that is so important. In the initial phases of grief, time is necessary to acknowledge and assimilate emotions. The most important step we can take toward healing is to grant ourselves time and permission to grieve.

Often, for many of us in this “quick fix” culture, it's hard to just allow ourselves to feel lousy, confused, angry, and hurt-especially when we know that everyone faces loss. At the Moser Funeral Home, 233 Broadview Avenu.e, Warrenton we understand how disorienting grief can be, and we offer our professional support to help the funeral plans go as smoothly as possible. If you feel overwhelmed, we offer calm, patient assistance. For a tour call 347-3431.. Bright View Cemetery is just outside Warrenton.
