Last year the Rappahannock County Relay raised over $50,000. Over 60 percent of the funds collected stay within the region. The other almost 40 percent of the funds goes for public support allocated to National programs for research, medical grants and fellowships and supporting services. Within the county, programs include:
• Cancer Education. An example of which is the Colon Cancer Forum to be held at 7:30 at the Washington Baptist Church on March 21.
