Arthur W. (Nick) Arundel donated the land for the permanent Virginia Gold Cup race course at Great Meadow to the Meadow Outdoors Foundation.
Arundel, a news executive who founded and named Great Meadow in 1984, has deeded about 200 acres of land to the non-profit foundation which operates the field events facility for equestrian events and free community activities.
