Invitation for Bids: Maintenance of Scale at Landfill Facility
The Rappahannock County Board of Supervisors is soliciting bids from firms to provide maintenance of the truck scales located at the Rappahannock County Landfill Facility located on Weaver Road in Amissville Prequalification is required for this contract in the form of qualification to perform vehicle scale test reports in conformance with Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services Office of Product and Industry Standards ,
The work includes the provision of all supervision. labor and materials to repair (as necessary) and maintain the Weightronixscale facility in accordance with the above VDACS standards.
All bids should be submitted in a letter clearly identifying the company providing the service, be signed by the principal of the firm, and shall note any exclusions or limitations. The basis for the bid shall also be stated; for this agreement, a mobilization/travel charge per call, and a per man-hour repair charge shall be included Bids shall be evaluated on the basis of a per call charge, assuming mobilization and 6 man-hours per call. All bids must be received at the County Administrator's Office, Old Extension Office, 290 Gay Street. P.0 Box 519, Washington, VA 22747 by Friday. February 1, 2002, by 3:00 PM., at which time they will be opened and publicly read.
The terms of Competitive Sealed Bidding as set forth in the Virginia Public Procurement Act shall apply. The Board of Supervisors reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
