Each student was given three new pieces of music to learn. After auditions and seven hours of practice <!>, the live bands came together for a concert in Burruss Hall, a beautiful 5000 seat concert hall at the university. This was a concert that these students will never forget!
• The next time you are asked to buy fruit from a Band member, please do. The funds from fruit sales and other fundraisers like that, make these kinds of experiences possible, as well as providing monies for new uniforms, new instruments, music and more. If you are a parent of a band student, and have not been involved in the program, please come to the next Band Booster meeting on Thursday, Feb. 7. Meetings are every first Thursday at 7 p.m. in the RCHS Band room. You can make a difference, just by your presence.
• The Sixth-Twelfth Grades’ Science Fair was a huge success as always thanks to the efforts of our hardworking and talented RCPS Science teachers. The projects were better than ever! The next time you see Mrs. Holly Massie, Science Fair chair, or Mrs. Karen Sanborn, Mrs. Beth Gall, Mrs. Gail O’Neal, Mr. Bill Hunt or Mrs. Patti Waddell, please stop and thank them for what they do for
