• What talented students we have! Over the Lee/Jackson/ King holiday weekend. Band Director Lynne Fournier accompanied eleven RCPS students to Virginia Tech for Honors Band. We had one of the highest percentages of students attend of any of the participating school districts, thanks to the incredible efforts of Mrs. Fournier. She campaigns fiercely to get performance opportunities like this for Rappahannock's children.
• This year 500 students were selected 'from 1500 applicants' from Tennessee, West Virginia. Kentucky and Virginia to participate in five different bands. Each hand performed at a different advanced level. We had students in four of the five bands' In each band approximately 100 students came together, never having played together and never having met the conductor.
