Wayland Tuesday, May 21 marked the 12th annual DARE graduation at Rappahannock Elementary School under the direction of School Resource and DARE Officer Captain Jeff Brown. Students, left to right. Shawn Porter, Lisa Donahue, Willie Whitmer and Travis Jenkins, read their essays, “What DARE Means To Me?" to the audience. Rappahannock Sheriff Larry Sherertz spoke to the sixth grade DARE graduates and they also heard remarks by RCES Principal Mrs. Raye Tupper. Children received diplomas and t-shirts, enjoyed a slide show featuring DARE students and refreshments. DARE Day will be held at RCES Friday, May 31.
