During his time in Troop 36, Thomas has held all leadership positions, attended two national Jamborees and will leave right after graduation as crew chief of a select group of Scouts from the Shenandoah Area Council, who will take a 17 day high adventure trek into the back country of Philmont Scout ranch in New Mexico.
In addition to Scouting, Thomas has stayed quite active in high school athletics and the Student Advisory Council (SCA) of which he has been President this past year. He rounds out his schedule by working part-time on weekends.
A member of the varsity track team for three years, he achieved “all state” honors last year in the Division ‘A’ 800 meter race and appears headed for a repeat this year as indicated by his recent win
