The Panthers are going to the Region “B” tournament and that’s all that matters.
The Varsity girls finished the regular season with a tie at Clarke County.
They had a chance to reverse their fortunes with a victory against that same lady Eagle team at home in the quarterfinal game of the district tournament.
It was not meant to be. The lady Eagles scored twice and despite numerous opportunities, the lady Panthers couldn’t finish.
They fell 2 to 0 and the loss ended their season. , Track
The 11 track athletes from RCHS competed at UVA’s track on Wednesday, May 22 in the Region “B” Track Championships.
The top six finishers in each event and the top three relay teams moved on to the State Championships.
That track meet will involve the top track athletes from all the Single “A”schools (approximately 90) in the state.
It will be held at the University of Virginia’s track on Saturday, June 1 starting at 10 a.m.
Participating from Rappahannock County High School and the events they qualified in are:
