Phil Irwin is known around the County as Mr. B & B, but he might well be graced too with the appellation “Mister Rappahannock Railroad.”
When he is not busy with hosting duties at his Caledonia Farm 1812 Bed and Breakfast, attending County government meetings or those of various conservation or agricultural groups, or acting in his tourism-development roles, he might be found in the basement of that venerable building wiring in a 1940’s vintage relay beneath an everexpanding model railroad world.
