Udna Annahza Shanks has received a Master’s degree in social work from the Virginia Commonwealth University. The ceremony took place Saturday, May 18 at the Carpenter Center in Richmond.
Miss Shanks was among 1.000 graduates receiving diplomas and awards. She graduated from Radford University in 1996 and was a 1991 graduate of Rappahannock County High School.
Miss Shanks has accepted a position as a Medical Social Worker for the Harlem Hospital Center in Harlem, N.Y.
She is the daughter of Barbara L. Shanks of Washington.
