NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING KINDLY TAKE NOTICE that the Town Council of the Town of Washington, VA will hold a public hearing on June 12th, 2002 at 7:30 pm at the Town Hall, 485 Gay St. Washington, VA, to consider the following: 1. Amendment or adoption of the FY 2002-2003 budget to provide for the expenditure of up to $600,000 for the purchase of the “Avon Hair property consisting of 19 acres, more or less, and improvements thereon, and personal property of the Providencia Trust. The purchase price of the real estate is $920,000 and the person property $80,000. The balance of the purchase price and closing costs would be financed by the Town. 2. Exercise of the Town of Washington's option to purchase the Avon Hall real estate and improvements and the Providencia personal property. The purchase price of the real estate is $920,000 and the personal proper■ ty $80,000 plus settlement costs. 3. the incurring of one or more obligations and/or the issuance of one or more bonds in a maximum amount of $690,000 for the purpose of purchasing the Avon Hall real estate and improvements and the Providencia ! Trust personal property for the consideration set forth above and closing ■ costs. 4. Whether such obligations and/or bonds shall be secured by a pur' chase money lien or other lien on the real estate and/or personal property: , and/or be general obligation bonds of the Town of Washington: and/or be revenue bonds of such project; and.or be obligations subject to annual . appropriation by the Town Council.
