He is also survived by one brother, Jerry Griffin and his wife, Shirley, of Tennessee.
Additional survivors include his first wife, Barbara; one son, James, and three daughters, Judy, Sarah and Elizabeth.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, Aug. 6 at Reynolds Memorial Baptist Church in Sperryville with the Rev. Jon Heddleston officiating.
Interment followed in Culpeper National Cemetery with military honors provided by the United Air Force.
Found and Sons Funeral Chapel of Culpeper was in charge of the arrangements.
Gladys Jenkins
Born in Woodville
Gladys L. Jenkins, 81, of Sperryville died Friday, Aug. 2 at Culpeper Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born Oct. 20, 1920 in Woodville, a daughter of the late John Henry Jenkins and Betty Jane Jenkins.
Miss Jenkins attended Culpeper Free Methodist Church.
She is survived by one brother, James R. “Jim” Jenkins of Culpeper, and five sisters, Nina Rose Bane and her husband, Percy of Slate Mills, Nancy Meredith and her husband, Thomas and Ruth Leake, all of Culpeper, Margaret Weaver of Banco and Ethel Jenkins of Madison.
She is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers, Clarence Jenkins, Gid Jenkins, Henry Barnes Jenkins, John Thomas Jenkins and Andrew Jenkins, and two sisters, Martha Smoot and Marie Smoot.
Funeral services were conducted on Monday, Aug. 5 at Found and Sons Chapel with Rev. Mark Cook officiating.
Interment followed in Fairview Cemetery.

Roy Lee “Pete” Owens, 57 of Culpeper died Thursday, Aug. 1 at his residence.
He was born March 28, 1945 in Loudoun County to the late William Benson Owens Sr. and Pauline Catherine Woodward Owens.
Mr. Owens had been a member of Hazel River Assembly of God since 1993.
He is survived by his wife, Ella Irene Owens of Culpeper, two daughters, Sherry Lynn Dodson and her husband, Albert of Fredericksburg and
