the weekend with Ilse Pierkes in Brushwood. Md., where they attended the family night and services for Barbara Gasiewicz in Arenue, Md. Mrs. Gasiewicz has spent time visiting here with Mrs. Butler and she also helped at the events at the Washington Baptist Church on several occasions. Our condolences to her family and friends and especially to Mrs. Butler. The two of them had been friends for many years.

Mrs. Kathleen Lee of Flint Hill visited recently with Mrs. Addie Keyser and family.

Maria Roemer-Kwon and son, Jason of New York was in the Town of Washington on Monday afternoon visiting with friends. Maria grew up in Gid Brown Hollow, attended Rappahannock Public Schools and always enjoy6 returning to the County for a visit with friends.

The Washington Baptist Church will have a Sunday School picnic on Sunday, Aug. 18 at 5 p.m. at the Rappahannock Park. There will be horseshoes, volleyball, badminton, basketball, croquet, tennis and other activities available. Bring a covered dish and join in the fellowship and fun.
