The annual Washington Baptist Church picnic will be held Sunday, Aug. 17 at the Rappahannock County Park on Routet 211. Activities begin at 5 p.m. and supper at 6 p.m. The church will provide hamburgers and hot dogs and paper items. Those attending are asked to bring a covered dish and drinks to share.

Keep in prayer our daughter Ann Foster in Chesterfield, Mich, who will be having surgery on Tuesday, Aug. 12.

Also pray for Megan Neibert, five-year-old daughter of John and Sandra Neibert who will have surgery on Friday, Aug. 15 at the UV A hospital in Charlottesville.

Happy birthday to Chelsea Smoot, daughter of Lynn Smoot of Warrenton and “Rock” Smoot of Harris Hollow who will celebrate her eighth birthday on Friday, Aug. 22.
