Sharp Rock Vineyards announces the success of its wines at the 2003 Virginia Governor’s Cup Wine Competition.

The competition which took place in May represented over 300 wines from 40 different Virginia wineries. Sharp Rock, which entered six wines in the competition, won medals for all of them.

Among Sharp Rock’s winners are the perennial winner 2001 Chardonnay Reserve, the 2001 Cabennet Franc (eight medals in 2002) and for the first time the new semi-dry white, Chamois Blanc.

Sharp Rock Vineyards / is located along the Hughes River at the foot of Old Rag Mountain off Route 231.
