Thank you for covering
the issue of drug abuse in Rappahannock County. While the words “Out of Control” you attributed to me were, in fact, first uttered by a member of the audience, they have served a purpose—getting the issue of drug abuse out in the open.
At this meeting of residents, several parents spoke openly of their concerns. One father mentioned that his school-age daughter claimed that anyone can get drugs and all the kids know where.
As I stated at the meeting, getting the top circles of the drug distributors is the key. That can only be done by having a good, consistent relationship with the State Police, the school administrators, and the citizens of Rappahannock County— THAT IS MY PLEDGE.
