Sperryville resident
John Foster LeKander, 51, died Aug. 7 at his residence in Sperryville.
Mr. LeKander was born July 30, 1952 in Arlington to the late Gilbert LeKander and Carol Foster LeKander.
He is survived by his wife, Ann Britto LeKander of Sperryville, stepmother, Mary LeKander of Manassas, four stepchildren, Hank Beaver of Warrenton, Ann Renee’ of Falls Church, Brian Beaver of Flint Hill and Daniel Beaver of Marshall.
Additional survivors include two stepbrothers, Rick and John Squires, three stepsisters, Becky Squire, Judy Strachan and Nancy Castello, his cousin, Dale Olsen and a host of other family and friends.
A memorial service was held at the family’s home at 120 Briar Ridge Lane in Sperryville on Aug. 10.
