Robert Moore has written seven books about 29 Virginia artillery batteries for the Virginia Regimental History Series, as well as articles for magazines such as Civil War Times Illustrated, Blue and Gray Magazine and America’s Civil War.
For the past five years, Moore has also maintained the “Heritage and Heraldry” column featuring the history and genealogy of Page County every other week in the Page News & Courier. Moore also serves on the history committee for Virginia Civil War Trails and the education and interpretation Committee of the Shenandoah Valley Battlefields Foundation.
Moore will also share his experiences about putting up Civil War historical markers, an activity about which he is passionate. A goal of the Blue Ridge Civil War Round Table is to put up , these markers in Rappahannock County as well as adjoining counties.
