Trapezoid will perform a series of special reunion concerts for the Bluemont Concert Series August 22-24 in memory of its long-time vocalist and violinist, Freyda Epstein, who was killed in an automobile accident in May.
Epstein played with Trapezoid from 1980-88 and rejoined her old band mates, Paul Reisler and Lorraine Duisit last year.
The concerts will be held on the courthouse lawn on Friday, Aug. 22 at 7:30 p.m. in Winchester; Saturday, Aug. 23 in Warrenton at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, Aug. 24 at 7 p.m. in Leesburg.
They will feature Reisler and Duisit, who will be joined by harmonica and piano virtuoso Howard Levy and vocalist Anna Wolfe.
The Washington Post has called Trapezoid “the finest folk group in America.”
Reisler, co-founder and leader of Trapezoid since 1975, is a songwriter, composer, multiinstrumentalist and songwriting teacher.
