The Washington Town Council voted to begin a $20,000 study of the existing Historic District Ordinance in an effort to pinpoint historic structures and delineate the town’s longterm preservation planning.
The study, by Cheryl H. Shepherd of Millennium Preserv ation Services of Warrenton, is a direct outgrowth of a lawsuit involving Worley v. the Tbwn of Washington, in which Sid and Many Catherine Worley are seeking to have the existing Historic District Ordinance declared invalid
