Cow killed
Later on the same Saturday, at 9:30 p.m., Clarence Early Giles III, 33, driving a 2001 Toyota sedan west along Route 211 near Sperryville, struck a dark-skinned cow standing in the middle of the road. Giles was not injured. His car was, to the tune of $3,000 to $4,000, according to Virginia State Police. The cow died at the scene.
