Rappahannock’s District X Babe Ruth, Cal Ripken Division Champion All-Star baseball team finished in the Tbp Four last weekend at the Babe Ruth Virginia Baseball Tournament in Greenville, Va.
Babe Ruth District Champions’ Glen Allen (of Richmond), Greene County, Herndon, Manassas, Northeast Augusta, Rappahannock, Southern Augusta and Williamsburg met at Rivershead High School to decide top Virginia baseball honors.
In the first round of the state tournament, Rappahannock squared off with Northeast Augusta (NEA). Based on tournament play throughout the year, Northeast Augusta was am early favorite to finish in the top two places. Rappahannock’s team did not bother to listen to the experts.
