The towers are going up near Washington by Route 211 (Miller’s Silo— after final approval from the FCC), south of Huntly on Route 522 (Huntly Silo), just west of Massie’s Comer on Route 211 (Rose Hill Silo), south of Flint Hill along Route 522 near Hickerson Mountain (Welch Slope), and dong Route 211 about halfway between Amissville and Ben Venue (Nicholson Slope).
Whether these Sprint locations will carry or facilitate other cellular carriers, like Verizon, for example, is not presently known, according to Ng of Sprint. Responsibility for informing customers of coverage rests with the individual carriers, he said.
