Befriends two-year-old

This summer an Amissville family adopted an unusual pet
Actually, the pet adopted them. For several weeks, a pigeon took up residence in Jonathan and Linda Partin’s garage.
“One day we were building a fence, and this pigeon landed on the car nearby,” said Jonathan. “He just sat there and watched for a long time.” That night, the bird roosted in the garage.
‘The next day, there he was again,” said Jonathan. “We put out birdseed for him, and he just hung around.” The Partin’s two-year-old son Calvin named the bird Peep
“He would follow us when we walked the dog,” said Jonathan, “mid he would let Calvin get close to him in the backyard.”
In fact, Calvin was the only one who could get very close to Peep and the two were always together.
Soon after the bird’s arrival, Jonathan noticed the pigeon had a band around its leg. Using the internet, he tracked the number on the band to a' group called the American Racing Pigeon Union. On the group’s web site, he found information on caring for a lost bird and how to track
