Orientation
More than 30 volunteer drivers attended last month's Rappahannock Volunteer Medical Transport orientation. The drivers will help provide rides to Rappahannock citizens in need of transportation to medical appointments. The program was cooperatively developed by a group of local churches and community organizations. Speakers at the event included: Carl Aplin, Sperryville Rescue Squad; Darlene Mullan, RN, of RRCSB; Anne Buntz, Alzheimer’s Association; and Felicia Chavez, Extension Office. Judy Reidinger organized the group, and volunteer coordinators were Lola Walker, RRCSB, and Sharon Pyne, Rappahannock DSS.
