Sara Ann Markham

goes beyond the school room as students have catered many events in the county. The program has even lead some students to chose culinary arts as their career path and they have been accepted into prestigious culinary schools in the Northeast.

The Books and Buddies program consists of volunteers from the RCHS honor Society and community who work with remedial first and second graders two days a week after school for an hour to help the students learn how to read.

James Madison University Graduate

Sara Ann Markham, daughter of Mary C. Markham of Centreville, Va., and the late Richard A. Markham, will graduate from James Madison University on Saturday May 7, 2005. She will graduate Summa cum laude, Bachelor of Science, with a major in Interdisciplinary Liberal Studies, and a minor in Early' Childhood Education, with a concentration in Mathematics and Science. Sara will be the flag bearer for the College of Education in the ‘main ceremony, and in the College of Education Ceremony, earning the honor by having the highest grade point average in her college.
