Artists of all ages and persuasions will be exhibiting their work in May at The Middle Street Gallery in Washington, VA. The professional artist-members of this co-op gallery have invited their art students and the teachers who influenced their own work to join them in this show. It should be interesting to see how the artists have influenced each other’s approach to making art, and also how the students have moved on to create their own styles.
“I teach painting at Lord Fairfax Community college in Middletown and I asked an adult student from a few years ago to exhibit with me,” said artist Chris Stephens, “because she is good, working to become better, and needs to show her work more. Valeria is a nurse at the Winchester Medical Center.”
The show runs from May 6 through May 29. The community is invited to the artists’ reception on Saturday, May 7 from 2 to 6 p.m.
The Gallery is located next to The Inn at Little Washington'. Hours are Friday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Please call 540 675-2355 during gallery hours for more information.
