Sherertz’s salary, which is maintained by the county, is $54,746, making him the lowest paid sheriff within the five counties.

Fauquier County’s acting County Administrator, Paid McCulla, tops the list of salaries within the four-county region at $132,895.64 with Page County at the opposite end of the spectrum, $90,000.
Falling in between are Culpeper County at $100,000, Warren County at $94,100 and Rappahannock’s John McCarthy with a $93,500 annual salary.
Culpeper County’s Administrator Frank Bossio praised McCarthy for his service to Rappahannock.
