At a tea held at Rappahannock County Library March 5, the Culpeper Minute Men Chapter of the NSDAR met to present the Annual Good Citizens Awards. The DAR Good Citizens Awards are presented to high school seniors with the qualities of Dependability, Service, Leadership, and Patriotism. The four students honored were Danielle Dombrowski of Wakefield School, Mattie Nawrocki of Rappahannock County High School, Clair Hinchey of Culpeper High School and Karrin Temple of Madison High School. The girls were pinned with the DAR Good Citizen pin by their mothers and received a check. Hearthstone School
Hearthstone School elementary and high school students enjoyed a group drumming experience led by Pine Phillips and Wendi Sirat who have collected over 50 different varieties of percussion instruments from around the world.
