Amissville benefit auction The Amissville Volunteer Fire and Rescue Company has scheduled an auction for May 14 at 6 p.m. at the fire station. All items donated must be clean and in a saleable condition. All appliances must be in a working condition. No clothing or bedding will be accepted. Cavaliers, Courage and Coffee The “Night Belonged to Mosby" will be presented on Saturday, May 14, at 8 p.m. by lantern light and Sunday, May 15, at 3 p.m. in the afternoon in the village of Atoka, four miles west of Middleburg on Route 50. The presentation features a series of short vignettes that present the life of John Singleton Mosby. Admission is free to the public.
