that carried gourmet specialty items. It was not until a few years later that the company decided to expand, building their other facility in Spenyville, Sunnyside’s Famous Rest Stop. While the Rest Stop certainly overshadows the little market in Washington in size, many customers prefer to continue patronizing the Washington store for its warm and intimate atmosphere.
Apart from the expansion of the company, the store has seen many other changes right within its own walls. When the store first started out in 2000 there was only the one refrigerated case for the beef and chicken. It was not until two or three years down the road that the store saw the addition of the case for fish and the case for cheese, much to the joy of customers today.
