teacher while I was in school, my housemate when I moved hbme after college, my confidante throughout it all and now with glowing love, the grandmother of my children.

In my book, everyday is Mother s Day. I am so grateful to be living. I love both my parents for giving me this life, as is.

Brenda Van Ness

I don t quite knou> what the average mother is. I used to believe that a mother - who never said no and got me everything that I wanted, whenever I wanted it was the ideal mom — truly, there is no satisfaction in a mother like that. Every once in a while I am disappointed, with her decisions, but most times the decisions come out fine. I have also decided that my mother is my official role model. Even though, many times. I have wondered if my mom is not bi-polar because of the differences in her personality in various situations. Nevertheless, everywhere she goes people are automatically drawn to- her. Why? There is no question. Not only in her physical features is she very beautiful, but she is also, a very beautiful person on the inside. I know she would be thrilled to hear me utter these words. She has a certain presence or “vibe" that surrounds her wherever she goes. Although in my eyes my mother is perfect, mornings have generally never been her best time; yet, through that, she manages the impossible task of waking me up, getting me ready and usually on time to school.

My mother is not only the best mother in the world, she is also my best friend. We can easily sit down and talk about everything, helping me work out every situation that troubles me in the least. I love my mom sooooooooooo much for everything that she has done for me.
