Mannfred Mann, Waldron’s then Washington, D.C. based band Emerson and Waldron was responsible for the song’s introduction to bluegrass.
Waldron is recognized for bringing other music into the bluegrass genre such as: Tim Hardin’s Tf I Were A Carpenter’, Gordon Lightfoot’s “Early Morning Rain’ and Eric Anderson’s soft ballad. of parting, ‘Close the Door Lightly When You Go.’
Waldron will be accompanied by The New Shades of Grass ensemble members, including mandolinist Wayne Lanham, Mark Maggiolo on banjo, Mark Clifton on the resonator guitar and bassist Terri Chism.
