young men and women who are still trying to keep this fire department alive. Then came the little country store that he ran after his retirement at Avtex in 1978. After he left the store, Williams got the flea market fever.

Mr. Williams is survived by his wife of 66 and half years, LaMerle Bolt Wiliams, three sons, Murray Bradley and wife, Mary of Strasburg, Robert Lee Williams and wife, Ellen of Front Royal and Jerry Martin Williams and wife, Nancy of Chester Gap, a daughter, Carolyn Leake and husband Thomas of Chester Gap, 13 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren and numerous of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Additional survivors include a half brother, Arnold D. Williams and stepmother, Annie Walters.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Andrew, Bossie Williams and one sister, Bertha Williams and half sister, Mary Helen Williams.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 5 at Tumer-Robershaw Chapel at 2 p.m. with Rev. Malcolm Cadd officiating. Burial will follow in the Williams Family Cemetery. A reception will be held following the burial at the Chester Gap Baptist Church Fellowship Hall. Memorial contributions may be made to Williams Family Cemetery C/O Joe Williams, P. O.
