Local Scholarships

• Anne Keyser Trust Fund: Anne Keyser was a teacher in Rappahannock and Warren counties for 55 years. This scholarship is for graduates of RCHS with financial need, promise, character and determination who are furthering their education after high school. May 16 deadline. Amount: $3000-$10,000.

• Alpha Delta Kappa Teaching Scholarship: ADK has given scholarships to seniors interested in pursuing a career in education since 1992. Late May deadline. Amount: $300.

• Francis J. Leonard Scholarship Grant (Garden Club): Francis J. Leonard worked as an engineer and served in World War I. His wife, Margaret Willis Leonard served as President of the Garden Club and wanted to help seniors with merit, need and acceptance to a 4-year school. May 16 deadline. $1500

• Graham Hackley Memorial Scholarship: Senior with interest in business/agriculture and financial need, planning to attend a 4-year college. May 16 deadline. $500

• Greater Piedmont Association of Realtors: Senior with an interest in business or agriculture, financial need, attending a 2- or 4-year school. Someone that wants to succeed, has a plan and an “interest in life.” May deadline. $1000

• Julia Boddie Educational Scholarship: Julia Bodie was an RCPS teacher who changed Lillian Aylor’s life. This scholarship seeks a senior attending college/ trade school. May 16 deadline. $500.1>F

• Lois D. Snead Arts and Crafts: Senior pursuing art, merit-based. May 16 deadline. $500.

MaryBeth Williams Scholarship: Mary Beth Williams was tragically killed in an automobile accident on May 14, 1997. This scholarship goes to a Rappahannock senior who is accepted at a 2- or 4-year school, majoring in agriculture or active participant in 4-H. May 16 deadline.
