Obituary
James R. Cooke
Castleton resident , James Randolph Cooke, 53, of Castleton, died Saturday, July 30, at his residence.
He was bom on March 22, 4,952 in Front Royal to Hazel Putnam Cooke and the late Elmer James Cooke.
Mr. Cooke had a wonderful heart and was loved by many people. He was devoted to his grandchildren and loved his cat, Prince. He was a member of Forest Grove Baptist, church. Fishing was his favorite pastime.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by one son, Michael Cooke and his wife, Tracey, of Amissville, and two sisters, Doris Jenkins and her husband, Vernon, of Rixeyville and Peggy Menefee and her husband, James, of Amissville.
He is also survived by two grandchildren, Brittany and Michael . Cooke, Jr. of ! Amissville, his former wife and special friend, Janice Cooke, and three nieces and one nephew.
