Sean Bennett of Boston, graduated May 27 from the Denver Medical School at the University of Colorado. He received an MD and was also awarded a PhD in Immunology and Microbiology.

He was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. His doctoral dissertation was entitled “Characterization of Clonal CD4+ Effector Cell Expansion HIV-the number one disease.”

Bennett is a 1988 graduate of the Wakefield Preparatory School at Huntley. He was valedictorian of his class and received the Peter Guinn Award. He graduated in 1992 from Stanford University with an AB with Honors in biological science and East European history. He worked for a start up medical research firm in Palo Alto, CA before entering the MD/PhD program at the University of Colorado Medical School.
