Overturned trailer ties up traffic and more
July 27, 6:30p.m.: A road tractor, driven by Larry Snead of Charlottesville, VA and towing half of a double-wide trailer westbound on US 211 lost control as it rounded a bend, causing the trailer to flip onto its side and strike a guard rail. The trailer was dragged by the truck for several feet before the balljoint connecting it to the truck snapped,leaving the trailer laying on its side blocking US 211 west. Snead was uninjured and was charged by State Trooper Derek Mauck with reckless driving.
Judy 26, 9:30 a.m.: Adam Moore of Chester Gap was traveling east on Rt 645 in his 1997 Plymouth Neon. Moore lost control of his vehicle as he went over Hillcrest Rd. and ran off the right side of the road and then crossed back over 645, striking a fence and doing over $3000 in damage to his car. Trooper Don Corbin charged Moore with reckless driving.
July 28, 7:07 pan.: James Dwyer of Washington, VA was traveling on Gid Brown Hollow Rd. when he lost control as he rounded a turn in his 1990 Pontiac Grand Am. Dwyer’s vehicle rolled multiple times, struck a fence and landed qn its roof. Dwyer was uninjured. Trooper Derek Mauck charged Dwyer with reckless driving. .
July 29, 10:34 p.m.; : Rappahannock County Police received a call that gunsh&s were being fired at a light in the vicinity of the complaintant’s Harris Hollow Rd home. Updn investigation by Rappahannock county police, it was discovered that the noise came from a fineworks violation. Rappahannock Police stopped a vehicle in connection with the complaint but no arrests were made. ’
