worth it after all.
The real pleasures in life are few. I’ve seen a lot of summers come and go, but my taste buds still work really well, ~ ^d, for the time being, I’ll proLmly be out there next year, plowing and planting, and weeding and spraying, and picking and shucking, and canning (we’re up to 21quarts of string beans, so far), and enjoying nature’s bounty, God willing.
New neighbors in town After church on Sunday, we ran up to Settle’s to get a paper. On the way back, just before we got to the Public House, out of the driveway strolls a little bear. Walked right across the road, just as unconcerned as could be. We slowed down to watch him, and when he got to the first big tree, he paused, stood up and put his front feet against the tree.
