the winding, twisting roads in Rappahannock County, are an especially lethal combination, according to First Sgt. Gary Settle of the Virginia State Police.

“Often we find that these crashes are caused by people exceeding safe speeds,” he said, noting that the roads simply weren’t built for the type of speed some motorcycle enthusiasts seem to enjoy.
