• On Thursday, October 6 The Rappahannock County Water and Sewer Authority will meet at 7:30 p.m. at the Rappahannock Courthouse on Gay Street. • Mr. Brian Fairchild, a retired CIA Operations Officer, will speak on “Terrorism and How to Protect Your Freedom” at the Tuesday, October 11 meeting of the Culpeper Minute Men Chapter of the NSDAR. The meeting will be held at the Rappahannock County Public Library at 1:30 p.m. The library is on US 211, Washington, VA. The Culpeper Minute Men Chapter is made up of members from three counties: Rappahannock, Culpeper and Madison. All meetings are open to the public. • On Tuesday, Oct. 11 the Rappahannock County School ’ Board will meet at 7 p.m. (closed session) and 7:30 p.m. (public session) at the Town Hall on Gay Street • On Wednesday, Oct. 12 the Washington Town council will meet at 7:30 p.m. at the Town Hall on Gay Street. The agenda includes a Public Hearing on a Special Use Permit request, TW SUP 05-0901, by Beverly and John Sullivan, to operate a Bed and Breakfast at 132 Gay St., TWSUB:04-10-01 Pleasant View of Rappahannock, LLC Subdivision application, and Wastewater and Reservoir updates, and the Worley Water Tap request. • On Thursday, Oct. 13, the Washington Town Council Planning Commission, and ARB, will hold a joint meeting at 6 p.m. at the Town Hall, to review a proposed draft of the Historic District Ordinance. • On Monday, Oct. 24 the Town Council and Planning Commission of the Town of Washington will hold a Public Hearing at 7:30 p.m. at Town Hall on the proposed revision of the Comprehensive Plan.
