Annual Meeting
The Annual Meeting of the Rappahannock Historical Society will be on Sunday, October 9th at the home of John and Judy Tble at 285 Rock Mills Road. The picnic will be from 3-6 p.m. - rain or shine!
RHS will provide a ham and a smoked turkey, as well as mustard and buns. Beverages will also be provided or you are welcome to bring your own. Please bring a covered dish plus a lawn chair for each member of your party. There is ample parking and a lovely lawn and pond.
There will be a short business meeting, including a report on the current status of the RHS Oral History Project. The business meeting will start promptly at 3:15.
We are trying something new this year - a Silent Auction. Everyone is invited to donate one item for the auction. You can bring your item with you to the picnic or drop it off at the RHS office up to 5 p.m. on Friday, October 7.

Come to the Griffin Tavern for scrumptious rolls and sashimi platters made especially for you by Chef Ibdd. Warm or cold sake will also be served.
October 11: Culpeper
Minute Men meet
Mr. Brian Fairchild, a retired CIA Operations Officer, will speak on “Terrorism and How to Protect Your Freedom” at the Tuesday, October 11, meeting of the Culpeper Minute Men Chapter of the NSDAR.
The meeting will be held at the Rappahannock County Public library at 1:30 p.m. The library is on US 211, Washington, YA
The Culpeper Minute Men Chapter is made up of members from three counties: Rappahannock, Culpeper and Madison.
All meetings are open to the public.
