October 8: Fall bazaar

Wesley Chapel United Methodist Women are holding their 32nd annual fall bazaar at the National Guard Armory in Warrenton, 8:30 until 2:00. There will be baked goods; jellies, preserves & pickles; white elephant table, handmade items. Lunch will be served. For further information, call 540-347-7475.

October 8 and 9: Smokehouse

sixth annual Fall Fest

Smokehouse will host it’s sixth annual Fall Fest on October 8 and 9 from 12 noon to 6 p.m.

Please come out to the picturesque Sperryville area next weekend and partake of our fest (as well as festival-hopping to Sunnyside's and Sharp Rock’s events!)

The area’s only Meadery and funkiest listening space again has unique offerings only to be found in Rappahannock county.

Our Braggot (which uses hops grown in rapp co) including an oakaged version will be joined by our Traditional Mead and once-a-year tapped Hard Cider in our tasting house.

The musical vibes will be provided by: SAT- dawgmung dulcimer (early), Ben Mason (2-4), Steve Hagedorn (from Laiighing Man 4-5:30 p.m., Jampossible interesting and/or infamous guests, possible bonfire (5:30-?) SUNMo1 dulcimer (early), Mo...that’s Maureen Day (2-3), Alice Reeve and Aplus(3:30-5:30 p.m.

Come on out and bring your: frisbees, dogs (the non cat-attacking kind), noisemakers, who-honkers, kites, binoculars, blankets, children, costumes and energy for an old fashioned human-be-in!

October 8: Fall Wine

and Music Festival

Come and eqjoy a crisp autumn day down and the view of Old Rag Mountain, on the farm with the folks at Sharp Rock Vineyard on Saturday, Oct. 8 from 12 noon to 5 p.m. For an afternoon of great music, wine, gourmet food and there will be a raffle for a night in one of the B & B cottages. Relax to the music of “Scuffletown”, an acoustic duo that plays solid original folk music with lots of zest. The cost $ 10/person includes wine glass, tasting, a glass of wine and music. Rain or Shine.
